Totally Candid Power4home Review

By Leon Taberna

Ever-increasing numbers of people are joining the "natural energy" band wagon. The web seems to be bursting with systems offering to demonstrate how to economize on electrical power by hooking up to free solar and wind energy. Power4Home is a brand you see more than any other, so I decided to check it out. Power4home is a course of ebooks and videos from a guy called John Russel. Yes, that's "Russel" spelt with only one "L".

Looking at all the plus points for Power4Home you see listed on their website, makes it look like a definite must-have. Power4home shows how almost any homeowner can install a high-end home solar power system simply by following the instructions contained in the "clear and concise" manual and training DVDs. It also shows you how to put up a wind turbine. All this is achieved without needing to draft in expensive outside help. The single biggest selling point seems to be that it lets you do it all without the services of self-styled home renewable energy "experts". But are its claims just too good to be true? I thought it best to investigate.

Let's look at what solar power is. It's hardly new; in fact is is literally as old as the Sun. Radiation and light from our nearest star has provided life and energy for everything in our solar system, and that includes us. Recently man has discovered how to harness this free energy for our own use. On top of this, the wind, water and the ocean's tides are now also used for generating electricity.

The best way of collecting the Sun's rays is through solar panels, then storing the collected energy inside special deep cell batteries. Although buying solar panels can be very expensive, Power4Home will help you create your own cheap solar panels without having to use contractors or so-called experts, whose advice can add thousands to the price-tag. Power4home says it can make you enough of an expert to do the job yourself.

John Russel claims that by implementing his methods it is possible to cut down your electricity bill by almost seventy-five percent, depending on what electrical appliances you regularly run. Generally speaking, the more power you use the greater the savings can be. It's certainly true that once the cost of equipment and installation is covered, wind-powered and solar energy is virtually free.

The Power4home course lets you save even more cash by getting individual items of either a wind turbine or solar panel system and put them together at your own workshop instead of having to purchase a complete system for many thousand dollars. This information by itself must be very useful for anyone wanting to go down the route of Green Energy.

So, is Power4home worth buying? That really depends on three factors: how good you are at home improvement; how much you know about electricity and green energy; and, how much time you have to do research. If you cannot so much as fit a bathroom shelf, then Power4home is not for you. The bottom line is that there's little in Power4home you couldn't find elsewhere. John Russel adds in a few tips of his own - he is a professional electrician - but what he's telling you is basically what make experts in "alternative energy" experts. If you have lots of spare time and access to a comprehensive reference library, you could probably find out most of the information yourself. But do you want to bother? One of Power4home's biggest pluses is that it's all there for you in one place.
