The elder scrolls v also known as Skyrim is the latest game in the Elder Scrolls franchise. Just 5 year ago Bethesda, the company responsible for these amazing titles, released The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion an open world RPG which has become in a very short time one of the most played role playing games of all times. This was mainly due to the fact that it offered hundreds of hours of game play, mind blowing missions with hundred of types of weapons, artifacts, magic scrolls and enemies.
Due to this massive success, the Elder Scrolls V Skyrim was launched in 2011 as a precursor of the success the previous titles of the series had. The game is set 200 years after the events in Oblivion in the land of Skyrim, where there is a civil war going on and on top of that, a magical threat looms. Players will be able to choose the character they will like to play and also edit many of his or her features like hair type, skin type, skin color, nose, eyes, eyebrows, eye color and many more.
Side quests
The game consists of a number of quests and side quests. The side quests allow your character to interact with the environment and other characters to help you get better weapons, potions and discover more secrets buried in the game.
Characters
There are 9 customizable races in elder scrolls v which have different abilities and characteristics. Each race has there advantages and disadvantages and getting used to these traits add that much more fun to the game. As per usual your characters will need to gain experience and level up to proceed through the game.
Engine
The skyrim game engine is an enhanced version of the fallout 3 game engine.The new Creation engine, allows for more graphical details as well as lighting and shadowing effects, which add the the enjoyment of the game.
Following on from some criticism form elder scrolls 4, the new game engine allows the animations to be more realistic and the game environment has more clarity and depth. Subtle shadow and lighting effects make objects and the environment as realistic as possible.
Skyrim non-linear structure allows you to do pretty much whatever you want, you can quest, explore and fight. It is an awesome game with hundreds of hours of game play and is by far the best RPG currently available.
