Win the Battle against Acne with These Tips

By Stacey Mason

Most people would agree that dealing with acne is a pain. Having a giant zit embarrasses most people. Most people see acne is something that they should grow out of after puberty. Taking care of your skin is the only real way to keep your pores unclogged and to keep acne at bay. Whether or not you want to believe it, the fact is that there are adults well into their thirties, forties and even later who experience acne so severe it rivals that of teenage acne. Here are some things you can do to stay acne free. Read on to find out how to make your breakouts more manageable!

A good cleanser is key to keeping acne from causing breakouts. A great cleansing can clearly be free of oil, but that may be not the one requirement you need to use when searching for your cleansing. Does the cleanser contain salicylic acid? Salicylic acid is often found in cleansers that are harder on the skin and meant for people who suffer from severe acne. For people who don't need a strong cleanser the salicylic acid content is only strong enough to do some basic cleaning and bacteria killing. As you age your skin will get thinner and more sensitive so you might eventually need to use salicylic acid only for the occasional spot treatment.

Keep a careful watch out for oil bases when you buy cosmetics and other beauty products. Feel cautious with your solution at the same time since it can also carry oil! The main goal of washing your face at all is to get rid of the oil that finds its way into your pores. Make an effort to read through the substances of the facial item that you feel you can obtain. Powder bases are better for your skin because they contain less oil (or none at all) than the liquid based cosmetics on the counter. Choose light cleansers instead of heavy cleansers that start out as solid bars or are almost syrupy in consistency. Watch out and use your intelligence!

Look through your home for some natural remedies. Have you ever tried using toothpaste on a zit before? Squeeze some toothpaste onto a pimple or zit after it has formed and leaves it on overnight. In the morning you will find that your pimple has shrunk quite a lot (this method is bad if you have pets who might be tempted to taste the toothpaste because doing that could make them ill). Some people insist that egg whites can also heal acne. The best way to treat acne with egg whites is to use a q-tip to dab some of your mixture directly onto your pimples, though you could also use the egg whites to make a mask.

Keeping your pores clear and your skin clean does not have to be difficult. You might be able to get by with only washing your face a couple of times each day. Someone else might need a more invasive facial cleanser. Other people choose to keep acne away with healthy foods, natural products and regular exercising. Take your time to experiment and figure out what works best for you. Keep with each method for a while. By battling against acne, you need to have a guideline and that can be found at Hydroxatone review.

No acne fighting method will work overnight--you need to give each method you try at least a few weeks to start having an effect on your skin before moving on to the next solution.
