Give Headphones for a Present - Noise Reduction Headphones Naturally!

By Sandy McEnzie

Everyone loves getting cool gifts and headphones, especially noise cancelling headphones make not only a cool present but a practical and handy present too.

One or two years ago noise cancelling ear pieces were a rather geeky obsession which only pilots and scientists knew about. Then they spread to the business community and especially frequent fliers. Folks who had to fly long distance quickly took advantage of the ability of noise cancelling earpieces to reduce if not cancel out absolutely the awful din of jet engines.

Even wearing normal earpieces will reduce some of the excessive noise from the cabin. The ear padding will reduce some of the noise. But the noise preventionby the complex electronics built in to the noise cancelling headphones is incomparably more efficient.

You can put these earphones on and switch on the noise cancelling circuits and hear and virtually feel an excellent perception of space and silence and calm. Reading this just sounds like exaggeration - you have to try out a Bose or Sennheiser set for yourself and you will likely become a noise cancelling headphones addict!

The roaring of air craft engines or other engines come to that, isn't the biggest nasty noise that passengers and even cabin crew like to reduce out. The droning of banks of computer fans is pretty horrible so that folk working near racks of servers started wearing noise cancelling earphones and then it spread to open plan ie noisy offices too.

In the meantime hi fi brands like Sony and headphones experts like Sennheiser moved in to the sector. It was Bose who pioneered the noise cancelling headphones market but now they must punch it out with well known brands like JVC, Audio Technica and Phillips.

Now every headphone company has to provide noise cancelling earphones or be ignored and left at the back. It may very well become the norm for all mid range and high end earphones to have noise cancellation built in.

Even folks who lead quiet lives and do not travel or work in noise environment choose noise cancelling headphones because they can hear additional detail in their fave music and experience the sense of space often reported by users of these headphones.

So if you know someone who likes music or quiet or who travels why don't you give them the gift of additional appreciation of their most loved music or the gift of calm and quiet? The gift of noise cancelling headphones has to be one of the best and most wished for gifts of all.
