Are you a big fan of Nerf guns? Then you will be interested in the Nerf Vulcan. In terms of size, and looks, I think it beats the other current Nerf guns without question. If you are a Nerf collector or just another person who loves to have a war with foam darts, the Vulcan may be something you would want to play with. First of all, probably the first thing you will notice about this is the fact that it uses an ammunition belt. The ammunition belt is loaded with foam darts and then is used to feed it when you are blasting away. Aside from that it also features a detachable ammunition box, a carrying handle for when you want to be like Rambo, a charging bolt, and a switch that lets you change it from single to multi shot.
I was fortunate enough to be able to buy one of these and try it myself. You can buy it at Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R' Us and many other stores. If you want to save money you may have better luck finding a more affordable price online. The first thing I noticed is that it is fairly heavy, but not for an adult. The tripod is really nice for when you want to set it down. Shooting it is a pretty awesome experience. You can definitely release a hail storm of darts with it. In my opinion I think it is the coolest looking dart shooting toy gun out there. It is a lot of fun to play with too.
Alas, I was disappointed the first time it jammed on me. It jammed on me a lot. I found out that when you run with it, it can jam. Holding it still is the best way to use it. Compared to the Magstrike. the Vulcan isn't as fast. I noticed it is fairly heavy. For a kid I can see how this would make it harder to use, but as an adult it isn't a problem. You can see why they put a tripod on the thing though, because it is nice to set down and use as a turret.
If Hasbro does make another model like this again, hopefully they make it so it doesn't jam as much. Overall though, I think it is worth getting!
