It Is A Cooling Fan Not An Ac - Window Air Conditioner Installation Review

By James Miller

The noise at high-speed is a total non-issue; trust me, the engines drown it out completely. If you're ordering one of these for your sailor, I recommend the pink one.

Air won't reach you. You have to hold it up to your face to feel anything. It moves a lot more air and cools better, and it cost the same. The only reason I could see purchasing this item is if you need a portable battery operated fan, and in all honesty you could probably do better. Anyway my point is that the handy cooler is great for at home use - my wife and I use it when we're watching a movie on the couch or I place it next to the bed while I sleep. This fan is perfect for drying your nails after a manicure! You open the sponge compartment and find that the bottom part of the sponge is still quite wet. The quick solution to this is to just add a little water at the top of the sponge and be done with it. My home theater receiver gets hot because it doesn't have a built-in fan, and there isn't any air circulation in the shelf that I placed it. I've been looking around for a small USB fan that would do the job, but was too lazy to go online and order one. I like the fan. It does cool you off. Apparently most of his colleagues got one too. Doesn't surprise me when you are stuck in such confined spaces plus requiring plenty of physical effort. I get night sweats and extreme flushes, sometimes ending up in rosacea. I've tried medication, creams and cooling packs but it only helped short term.

Oh well, live and learn. This is a great little device. I bought this back in November last year and the company had some issues with the motor being too noisy. I contacted them and got an exchange for the new 2011 model and it is much quieter now.

I would also assume that a compatible A/C adaptor could be purchased for it. This is less bulky that a typical fan and will the moist sponge it will cool the surrounding air to provide adequate relief. When it's on, it's powerful enough to cool you down and it's a pretty quiet for the amount of air it moves around. Cooling - I wouldn't say 30 degrees, more like mid 10s.

It cools, it's convenient, and very ergonomic. The only problem is the high price tag! The soft cool air it produces is refreshing and with scented oil very soothing. I use this fan every day and cannot imagine being without it now.
