There seems to be an influx of products which don't exactly deliver the goods but sell well enough because of smart marketing. When it comes to tungsten, there are many promises set out on the table but they aren't delivered upon. The concept of Triton tungsten alone can render any person in the know baffled. There are claims, though, that those who sell men's tungsten wedding bands make and it's because of these claims that these people stay in business.
Perhaps one of the largest claims of Triton tungsten is that it's practically indestructible. To say that these rings were made to be forever is a big order for tungsten. It's unfortunate, though, that the order itself is not well-done because these rings break quite easily when casual exertion is placed. Even a simple fall from the height of a child, for example, can cause one of many men's tungsten wedding bands to break.
Putting carbide to use in terms of tungsten rings, jewelry marketers will claim, allows them to keep a long-lasting sheen. There's more added to the look as a result of this implementation but it does not add quite as much since tungsten is not that aesthetically pleasing. In my opinion, I can't foresee many females searching for these rings if they know just how ugly they can appear, especially for brides-to-be and newlyweds. It's difficult not to see how many people will shun the mere idea of tungsten as a result of this.
Many people consider themselves avid swimmers and for those types of people, there are better alternatives out there than tungsten. Titanium rings, for example, are the types of bands that tungsten rings wish they could be. Titanium is far more functional than tungsten, since it can withstand great exposure to sunlight, water, and overall force from the outside world. Not only do these aspects make the rings attractive but titanium itself is hypoallergenic, used greatly in medical scenarios. One would be hard-pressed to choose tungsten over titanium when they know of the positives.
When such an option exists over tungsten, why should it even be considered a thought when you're aware of how much the ring seller will lie to you? The rings themselves do not look very pleasing at all, which does not help their case. However, the main selling point is functionality and tungsten cannot even do that well. When a ring is able to break as early on as a couple's wedding day, you know it's time to shove the option to the wayside for another.
